Do you dream of perfect running trails, stunning scenery, crystal-clear waters, and the silence of the wilderness?

Kainuu Trail invites you to Hossa National Park on Saturday, June 27th, 2026. Prepare for a unique trail running experience that combines the peace of the wilderness, the finest pine needle paths, and a relaxed event atmosphere.

Hossa – A Trail Runner’s Paradise

Hossa is famous for its "pine needle paths" – soft, springy, and fast trails that wind along ridges shaped by the Ice Age. The ridge paths of Hossa are second to none. They offer technical challenges with quick descents and climbs while inviting you to enjoy the speed and breathtaking views.

On the 55 km and 78 km routes heading towards the Julma-Ölkky area, runners will experience more technical and demanding trail sections while enjoying the most iconic landscapes of the national park around the Julma-Ölkky canyon lake.

Crystal-Clear Waters

The routes run along the shores of hundreds of ponds and lakes. This is a fantastic advantage, especially in warm weather, as refreshing yourself in pure natural waters is possible throughout almost the entire race.
