A Look Back at the Past Year

As 2025 draws to a close and we head into the peaceful holiday season, we want to take a moment to thank everyone who participated in the 2025 Kainuu Trail run. This year was a milestone for us as we broke our all-time participation record with a total of 648 registered runners.

While we are currently enjoying the tranquility of winter, our sights are already set on the light of next summer. Registration for next year has started at a record pace! For the upcoming summer, we have increased the maximum participant limit to 700 runners. However, we highly recommend registering early to secure your spot on the enjoyable needle-covered trails and breathtaking landscapes of Hossa!

Holiday Office Hours

The Kainuu Trail staff will be on holiday from 23 December 2025 to 4 January 2026. Our office will be closed during this time, and we will be back to respond to your emails starting Monday, 5 January 2026.
