Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2025!

As the year 2024 draws to a close, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated in the Kainuu Trail trail running event this past summer. This year’s event was a tremendous success, breaking our participation record with 545 registered runners!

Registration for next summer’s event has started at a record pace. If the trend continues, we may see the maximum allowed number of participants, 600 runners, on Hossa’s trails next summer. We highly recommend signing up early to secure your spot on the scenic pine needle trails and enjoy the breathtaking views of Hossa!

Office holiday break

The Kainuu Trail team will be on holiday from December 21, 2024, to January 1, 2025. During this period, our office will be closed, and we will return to emails and inquiries on January 2, 2025.

Important information about sports benefit payments

If you wish to pay your participation fee using a sports benefit that expires at the end of 2024, please remember to act promptly! You can find instructions for making a sports benefit payment here. The registration form is available here.
