The popularity of Kainuu Trail continues to sizzle – secure your spot on the Hossa trails now!
The popularity of the Kainuu Trail trail running event remains red hot!
On Monday, June 15th, the final regular-priced registration phase came to a close, and the number of participants is fast approaching the maximum limit of 700 runners.
Currently, a total of 667 runners have registered for the event. At the same time, cancellations and transfers to the following year are always a part of the process, which is why the currently confirmed number of participants on the start line is 627.

You can still fit in – act fast for specific distances!
There are still runner spots available, and registration will remain open until further notice. We have reserved a limited number of extra slots for each distance, but if you want to secure your spot on a specific route, we highly recommend acting very quickly!
Keep these important dates and times in mind:
- Online registration ends: The online registration service closes on Friday, June 26th, 2026, at 20:00 (8 PM) – or earlier if the slots for that specific distance fill up.
- Late registration on-site: If there are still entries available on the morning of the event, we can accept registrations at the competition center up to approximately 1 hour before the mass start of the respective distance.
